ChaLEAN and book report

Another week has passed and I think the last of the cold bug should be out of the house and gone before the end of the week. Thank goodness! Theres a ton of stuff I need to get done!

As far as my workouts, I've moved on to the second phase of ChaLEAN Extreme today...its the Push phase. Today's workout was only 32 minutes of HEAVY lifting...that is failing after 6 to 8 reps. I felt pretty good and only had a couple of kiddo interruptions toward the end so it was a good workout. Its great to be done with your workout in only 30 or so minutes. When the kids get older and are in school, I'll probably give P90X another dedicated effort - but for now, these shorter workouts are working out great! But I am gonna start adding my 3 extra cardio workouts this week...which will more likely be HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on the treadmill or a brisk walk outside with the kids in the double stroller.

I've also been reading the book for my book report for my nutritional consultant certification...its called "The Seven Pillars of Health". I'm now on the 6th Pillar which is about using supplements to ensure you are getting all the vitamins and minerals you need. Once I'm done with the book (and am working on my book report) I will post additional information about the book. Its been an interesting read...just not a lot of new and different information that what is covered in the NC Course materials. So we'll see.
