Get Fit Tip Tuesday...8 Week Transition!

We've been using Beachbody for our fitness solution since 2002, when we won a trip to Hawaii from the company for our body transformations. This was way before the days of the P90X phenomenon and the other plethora of Beachbody in home fitness solutions.

One of the great tools that I found during those early days of Beachbody was the 6 Week Transition Diet written by Steve Edwards. I've found that having a simple approach to changing the unhealthy eating habits that are contributing to the obesity epidemic in this country is the best way to break some of those habits!

Recently this nutrition approach has been revised and it is now an 8 Week Transition diet. , but the basic premise is as follows:
Week 1 - No junk
Week 2 - Eat several small meals throughout the day
Week 3 - Eat something colorful at every meal.
Week 4 - Cook at home
Week 5 - Reduce starchy carbohydrates
Week 6 - Eat whole, not processed foods
Week 7 - Be yourself
Week 8 - Eat a perfect diet!

Each week builds upon the next and you are allowed at least one cheat day per week. It really is a great way to get started on healthy way of life! A must read in my opinion!!
